| Colorado Springs, CO - This home in the Cheyenne Mountain Resort area of Colorado Springs was completely gutted and updated with a contemporary style to serve as the homeowners' retirement home. We constructed a steel canopy structure in the front of the home and a steel-supported deck in the back of the home that stretches 70 feet. Because the home was already landscaped and fenced, there was not any way to drive a vehicle or lift to the back side of the home. The deck and staircase had to be built in our shop in pieces, and then carried by hand from the driveway down a hill to the back of the home. The pieces then had to be hoisted by hand and assembled on the job site. Much of the job, including the radiused stair railing, was required to be built on site piece by piece.
